ABOUT ME

Get to know me!

Hi, I’m Danielle

A born and raised New Yorker who has spent decades falling in love with the city all over again every December. I started this site because Christmas in New York is genuinely unlike anything else in the world, and most guides don’t do it justice.

They’ll tell you to see the Rockefeller tree (yes, obviously) but they won’t tell you which side to approach from to avoid the worst crowd, or which Christmas market is actually worth it for foodies, or the best photo spots for families with a toddler in tow. That’s what I’m here for!

I have been writing about travel since 2015 over at The Thought Card, where I’ve build a resource hub for financially savvy travelers who trust me to give them my honest take.

A few things you should know about: I’m a millennial wife and mom who takes food very seriously. I genuinely get excited about artisanal gifts and believe the holidays should feel joyful, not stressful.

I write for every kind of visitor: first-timers, families with little ones, couples looking for something romantic, and solo travelers who want to experience the magic of the season on their own terms.

Everything on this site comes from personal experience.

If I haven’t been there, I don’t write about it.
